zuChem is a newly formed Midwest corporation that draws on
the experience of key management and other personnel with significant
experience in fine chemicals industry, biocatalysis technology, and the
production of pharmaceutical intermediates. The Company focuses on
developing new processes for the production of glycochemicals. Its
first products are varieties of glycochemical polyols used as a food
and pharmaceutical ingredients. Other products include variations of
carbochemicals, monosaccharides and oligosaccarides. The Midwest
location of the Company is a reflection of the ready access to both the
raw materials necessary for manufacturing glycochemicals available from
the local agriculture industry as well as the significant
pharmaceutical and fine chemical manufacturing company presence in the
area.
zuChem's mission is to be the premier supplier of unique glycochemicals
(sugar and carbohydrate-like molecules) to the pharmaceutical and food
industries using unique technologies to produce chemical products that
currently are either extremely difficult or too expensive to
manufacture.
